Carolina Voices’ wraps up its 2012-13 Season with the Festival Singers and their concert featuring legendary artists and composers who have shaped the world of music from Baroque to Contemporary periods. Audience members will feel the passion of the great choral masters with music by J.S. Bach, Eric Whitacre, Ola Gjeila, Craig Hella-Johnson, and Moses Hogan. Adding to the excitement will be selections from The Beatles, one of the most artistically acclaimed groups in the history of popular music. One of the highlights of the afternoon will be a newly commissioned piece by Dale Warland, entitled “Voices,” written for choir and cello and based on the text by poet Michael Dennis Browne.
