Our Annual Holiday Tradition just got a lot more Soulful! OnQ is proud to announce, Grammy Nominated Artist, The Hamiltones will join the Cast of Soulful Noel, Dec. 15th & 16th at McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square. Known for their contagious series of viral video performances and most notably as background singers for Soul Star, Anthony Hamilton, these exceptionally talented young men from Charlotte, North Carolina, will be home for Christmas to celebrate the Season with OnQ! The Hamiltones (whose members are 2E, J. Vito, and Tony Lelo) will feature music from their new Holiday Album, A Hamiltones Christmas. 

In its 5th year, OnQ presents Soulful Noel, directed by Quentin Talley with musical direction by Tim Scott Jr., is an original musical revue telling the age old story of the reason for the season. The cast of OnQ creatives re-frame tradition in a contemporary way with classics such as, ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, Little Drummer Boy, and What Do the Lonely Do. Fill your cup of eggnog with some R&B, Funk, Gospel, Soul, a dash of Noel, and a lot of OnQ!

OnQ Presents A Soulful Noel is a masterful Christmas collection, pulled together by OnQ Performing Arts, Artistic Director, Quentin Talley. This 45 minute album, features award winning Charlotte, NC artists like 3-time Emmy Winner, Boris “Bluz” Rogers, Recording Artist Blanche J., Vocalist, Kenya Templeton, plus many more talented musicians.  If you are a fan of Christmas music you will thoroughly enjoy this album, BUT also, if you're a fan of jazz, soul, poetry... and just plain old good music then this is certainly for you too!  It's like someone took some of your favorite Christmas songs and standards, and dropped them in The 5 Spot with Miles, Monk and Coltrane, then let them sit in for a set with Curtis Mayfield at The Bitter End but didn't let them go home until they won a slam at the Nuyorican.  You will certainly find something on here you like and will more than likely walk away enjoying it all.
