Overview
Wingate University Opera presents Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic HMS Pinafore on the stage of McGee Theatre at the Batte Center on the campus of Wingate University.
The Union Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dr. Kenney Potter will provide the music for the performance directed by Dr. Jessie Martin. Add to that the pageantry of costumes provided by Ohio Light Opera and set and lighting design by Jason Stewart, you will find that this is an event not to be missed.
Please join us for an evening of comic opera as “The Lass That Loved A Sailor” and the other travelers aboard the ship take you on a journey of love, patriotism, and social classes imbued with “mirth and silliness”.
