Hunter's Travesty

Overview

Originally formed in 2004 as an acoustic duo, Hunter's Travesty is a roots rock/americana based band from Charlotte, NC. Longtime friends and founding members Travis Denton and Hunter Baugus both shared a love and admiration for music, particularly the early days of rock n roll. They began their musical odyssey playing the patios and pubs of the Charlotte area honing their craft in venues like Tyber Creek Pub, Double Door Inn and the Comet Grill. In 2005 they added members on drums and bass and began to grow both musically and experimentally writing and recording their own music as well as expanding to play larger venues. Appearances at small festivals, benefit shows, The Windjammer (Isle of Palms), and even an opening for Charlotte friends "Simplified" at The Visulite Theater soon followed. Through the years the instrumentation and the lineup of musicians have changed some and in doing so Hunter's Travesty has become a revolving family of musicians. Along with base members Travis Denton (guitar/vocals), Hunter Baugus (guitar/vocals) and Paul Agee (bass/vocals), a variety of other great musicians have joined them along the way but one constant has remained. A shared love and admiration for all things music.
