Overview

Featuring local talent from Charlotte Comedy Theater, Now Are The Foxes, Improv Charlotte and The Acting Out Studio, the Improv Room is designed to shine a spotlight on the local improv scene in Charlotte.  This show will highlight Charlotte’s best and brightest from the ever growing improv community featuring both short and long form comedic styles.

Improv Charlotte’s mission is to serve our community through comedy by creating inclusive, family-friendly improv that benefits our neighbors throughout the Charlotte area. Our dedicated team of improvisers use our comedic gifts to bring joy to our fellow humans through both interactive and entertaining performances as well as supporting local charity organizations.

Charlotte Comedy Theater is an ensemble of highly skilled comedic performers who improvise scenes and games based on audience suggestions. Versed in both long and short form improvisation, our ensemble creates high energy, audience interactive comedy that will leave you laughing for days. Our Chicago roots are evident in our award winning training center, shows, private events and corporate team building workshop.

Now Are The Foxes is an improvisation and sketch comedy company based along the I-85 corridor. We are an ever-evolving, innovative, troupe dedicated to growing our own performance skills and entertaining others. We do this through workshop-style rehearsals and local performances. We exist to serve two entities: To provide more theatrical opportunities for the comedic player, and to bring unique comedy performances to our community.

Mom’s Adhesive is a long form improv team from Acting Out Studio, who specialize in storytelling.  We begin our shows with sharing a few unique and always truthful improvised monologues, derived from an audience suggestion.  Those monologues then inspire a frenzy of scenes, packed with characters and fascinating environments.  In roughly 25 minutes, you'll witness how our personal monologues weave together organically to create one complete story with an epic beginning, middle, and end.
