Overview

From the ascribed “Queen of the Cliffhangers” (Kenya Phifer-Jones), comes a new production with a twist that is rarely seen and given a platform in dramatic theater. The third of five showcases (the first “Rated PG”, was in 2012, followed by a collection of short films in 2013), "6" takes audiences on a dizzying ride of six different short plays with varying subject matter, all ending in shocking and dramatic cliffhangers. There's comedy, there's drama; there’s suspense. These shorts or "teasers", range from a minister/son dealing with a meddlesome, controlling mother whose sole purpose in life seems to be making her minister/son’s life miserable in "The Preacher Man"; “A Do Right Man”, which highlights an unsatisfied wife in a seemingly successful marriage, who despite having it all, is still not satisfied with her life or her husband; "Loving Pamela", which deals with the crippling stress and roller-coaster of emotions that comes with loving a spouse with mental illness, to "Do You Really Want to Know", which tackles the issue of temptation in marriages and the fact that when it comes to our spouse, there are some questions we really don't need to know the answers to. With titillating storylines that everyone from all walks of life can identify and empathize with, "6" strives to keep viewers entertained, emotionally engaged, and on the edge of their seats.
