This Month's Featured Artist: DJ Rogers

DJ Rogers is a poet and teaching artist from Durham by way of Raleigh, North Carolina. An alum of UNC Chapel Hill, DJ is the community outreach coordinator, coach, and co-slammaster of the UNC Wordsmiths slam. He is also the executive director of the Sacrificial Poets, a Triangle-based nonprofit that works with youth to help them tell their own stories in their own voice because if they don't, then who will?

DJ was a participant in the 2012 Individual World Poetry Slam held in Fayetteville, AR, and a Jambalaya Soul Slam finalist.

When he's not trying to or writing about trying to save the world, he can be found trying to or writing about trying to save the world. Or playing Pokemon GO.
