Tyler Ramsey

Overview

Tyler Ramsey, a singer-songwriter from Asheville, North Carolina is most easily recognized as the tall, lean guitarist in Band of Horses with whom he has played and recorded since 2007. He grew up studying country blues guitarists like Mance Lipscomb and Mississippi John Hurt, and American finger pickers John Fahey and Leo Kottke. Their music helped him develop his own identity. Tyler says: “Hey folks, I will be doing a short run of solo shows in early December and hopefully a longer run after the holidays! I have been working on a new record at La La Land in Louisville, KY and have some new ideas I’ll be trying out and new songs I will be playing. I look forward to seeing you!”
