Wednesday's Featured Performer: Jay Rogers Bluesman

Local blues musician, Jay Rogers Bluesman, has been playing the guitar his entire life.  He started by playing gospel music but switched to the blues in 2014 when he meet Buddy Guy in Louisiana.  Buddy invited him to his club in Chicago, which is the first time he heard real blues music.  Jay knew at that moment that he wanted to be a full-time blues musician.  While Jay was in Chicago, Buddy’s guitar player Ric Hall gave him the name Jay Rogers Bluesman.  Jay performed at Blumenthal’s Sounds on the Square program this past summer and the audience fell in love with him.  Jay is working on his first CD and hopes to have them available at Breakin’ Convention.
