Charlotte Symphony Gala: An Evening with Rhiannon Giddens

Overview

Acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rhiannon Giddens joins Resident Conductor Christopher James Lees and the Charlotte Symphony for a special one-night-only event. Giddens, a North Carolina native and recipient of the MacArthur "Genius" Grant, most recently won a Grammy for Best Folk Album for They're Calling Me Home. A classically trained opera singer, Giddens's music explores America's folk traditions and sheds light on the shared history of a variety of musical traditions throughout the world.

Join us for a special celebratory evening with the CSO! This special VIP ticket includes priority seating for the Special Gala Event: An Evening with Rhiannon Giddens, and post-concert reception at the Urban Garden, The Ritz-Carlton, featuring the Port City Shakedown Band. The reception event includes cocktails, passed and stationary desserts, and opportunity to mingle with CSO musicians. Proceeds for this event will support the CSO’s mission and Annual Fund.
