Step back in time to 1920s New York City as a newspaper boy encounters the legendary composer George Gershwin and embarks on a journey through the city's vibrant music scene. Featuring more than twenty beloved Gershwin tunes, including classics from Porgy & Bess to hits like “I Got Rhythm,” this enchanting concert promises a magical exploration of American music.

We welcome young audiences to these one-hour Family Series concerts, designed for kids ages 4-9, that engage all the senses and make learning about the orchestra fun. Babes in arms (under 2 years of age) attending on a parent or guardian’s lap are admitted free of charge for Family Series concerts.
