On the heels of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Charlotte Symphony, led by Resident Conductor Christopher James Lees, explores themes of freedom, strength, and justice through works by a diverse range of composers including Carlos Simon's deeply moving Portrait of a Queen and Queens University's Composer-in-Residence Malek Jandali's Elegy.
