Dance Legends Charlotte

Overview

For the first time in Charlotte, NC, Dance Legends Charlotte will bring together the top ballroom dance professionals all located in the Charlotte area, to be perform on the same stage. On Saturday, March 10th, 2018 at 8PM in the McGlohon Theater, Dance Legends Charlotte will showcase up to 10 professional ballroom dance partners, from 5 different dance studios in Charlotte, performing their best show dances. 

The idea behind Dance Legends Charlotte was to create something that had never done before and get the top ballroom studios in this area to come together and create an event to showcase the world-class ballroom dancers we have in Charlotte.   With over 27 ballroom dance studios in and around the city, Charlotte has become home to some of the most incredible professional dance talent in the industry over the last 15 years.

Proceeds from this event will go to Tomorrow’s Champions Foundation.  Tomorrow’s Champions Foundation was established to enrich the lives of children by encouraging self-expression and promoting positive self-esteem through the art of dance, without limitation of physical, developmental, emotional, or financial barriers.  The goal is to teach children of all abilities to participate in partnerships, engage in teamwork, and challenge themselves to reach for and exceed new expectations preparing them to be champions in dance and champions in life. 

“This performance is the first of this kind in Charlotte and a great way to showcase the amazing professional ballroom talent we have here in our own city.  It has been a goal of mine for a long time to get dance studios in Charlotte to partner together not only to provide an amazing show, but to provide the opportunity to share the love of dance with kids that might never have been given this chance.”  Said Andrea Zaramella, founder of Dance Legends Charlotte and Tomorrow’s Champions Foundation.

The local dance studios participating in this one night only event are Metropolitan Ballroom, Dance Center USA, Midtown Ballroom, Infinity Ballroom and The Ballroom at Quail Hollow.
