Piano phenom, Emmet Cohen, returns to the JAZZ ROOM with his all-star trio and special guest, legendary saxophonist Houston Person. Expect to be treated to a master class in stylistic juxtapositions, including the melding of stride, blues, church, swing, bebop, free, and contemporary styles, resulting in the innovative sound of Jazz’s future.

Houston Person is a legendary jazz tenor saxophonist and record producer with over 50 years of music recorded.  With his robust sound and swinging style, tenor saxophonist Houston Person has kept the hard bop and organ-soaked soul-jazz traditions alive. One of the most soulful jazz players on the scene today, he is a musician who pays close attention to melody and has a deep sense of the blues.
