Merrily We Roll Along

Overview

Merrily We Roll Along, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth, recounts the story of three friends - from present day all the way back to their first meeting on the rooftop of their NYC apartment building. The show opens at the party of wealthy, jaded composer, Franklin Shephard, seemingly at the height of his career. As the show progresses and travels backwards in time, Franklin, Charlie, and Mary enthusiastically imagine what their lives will hold: worlds waiting to be conquered.

A box office hit of the 2024 Broadway season starring Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff, and Lindsay Mendez, Queen City Concerts is thrilled to present Merrily We Roll Along in Charlotte for their first annual Summer Gala, with a cast of local Charlotte artists and the QCC Orchestra, led by Artistic Director, Zachary Tarlton. 

This production will be performed cabaret style—with the entire front orchestra turned into premiere cabaret/table-side seating—and traditional theatre seating in the rear orchestra and gallery levels. Patrons in the cabaret seating will receive exclusive QCC gala event swag.
