Super Nerdy Podcasters join Nerdy Night In this month for a Fantasy Nerd Draft. Plus: Divine Barrel is back for another virtual tasting of 4 brand new beers!

That’s right, Gavin Toth of Divine Barrel joins us to show off A lime lager, a west coast DIPA, A berliner weisse with raspberry and peach, and an imperial stout with: banana, graham cracker, vanilla.

The Adventure Squad will be competing to put together the fiercest team consisting of:

• 1 Comic Book Hero
• 1 Movie Hero
• 1 Literary Hero
• 1 Video Game Hero
• 1 Evil Villain
• 1 Charlotte Venue (for the climactic battle to take place)
• 1 Local Bar (for the heroes to celebrate at after)

After the draft, our expert judges from The Nerd Skool Podcast will evaluate the teams and vote on 1 winner.

Collectively, Lesley Elsworth, Jermone Jackson, Brian Martin, and Darryl Mansel comprised a podcast group known as The Adventure Squad. Each month, they participated in a podcast called Choose Our Own Adventure, where listeners would submit topics of discussion from all the realms of popular culture for them to discuss.  This lead to them winning third place in the Queen City Podquest, hosted by WFAE.  Now, the four of them regularly compete in nerd drafts to see who can draft the best of whatever the topic of the day might happen to be.

Divine Barrel Brewing is located in NoDa. It is their mission to excite craft beer drinkers from Charlotte and beyond! They experiment with modern brewing styles, techniques and vibrant flavor combinations.
