Join us for a nerdy exploration into the biology behind the spooky. Biologist Dr. Rebecca Heiss, PhD will join local improv team Now Are The Foxes, Divine Barrel Brewery, Kitty Janvrin, and Spooky CLT for a night of saucy & silly spookiness. Dr. Heiss will offer presentations on what’s going on inside us when we’re scared, and share her expertise on everyone’s favorite Halloween bird: the crow. Now Are The Foxes will perform long form improv inspired by Dr. Heiss’ lectures. Also, we’ll get to take a peek inside Divine Barrel Brewing for a virtual brewery tour and tasting of their fall release of Groove Merchant. Plus: Blumenthal Ghost Tour Guide Kitty Janvrin joins us to share some local spooky stories curated by Charlotte’s own SpookyCLT!
We encourage everyone who wants to participate in the virtual tasting of Divine Barrel’s new release Groove Merchant to stop by Divine Barrel (3701 N. Davidson St. Charlotte, NC 28205) before October 29th to pick up a can or 4 pack! It will be available starting October 15th, during the following hours:
- Monday – Wednesday: 4-8 PM
- Thursday – Saturday: 12-10 PM
- Sunday: 12-7 PM
They are also offering curbside/to go orders seven days a week for those not ready to venture into the taproom just yet.
