Overview

This show is all about Spiders! Come to Petty Thieves, enjoy some adult beverages and learn all about spiders from Arachnology Badass Dr. Sarah Stellwagen while improv expert, Jenn Bianchi performs an improvised Ted Talk, and fills the room with overall fun.

Dr. Sarah Stellwagen is an Assistant Professor at University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she studies spiders and the sticky silks and glues they use to make webs. Sarah has been interested in spiders since childhood and had a pet tarantula, Clawdia, for 17 years. She loves Halloween because it's the most pro-spider time of year. Sarah is on a quest to become Charlotte's preeminent arachnologist.

Spiders! is a part of Blumenthal's Nerdy Night Out series that combines entertaining comedy and an enjoyable opportunity to learn something new.
