Green and yellow can only mean one thing; the Latin American Coalition is gearing up for its eight annual Brazilian celebration, A Night in Rio! Get a taste of Brazilian Carnaval through live music, delicious authentic food, drinks and dancing. Saturday February 18, 2017 atthe Neighborhood Theatre in the heart of NoDa Charlotte, Doors open at 7pm followed by a FREE samba lesson and the energetic and contagious Carnaval parade. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of show. Join us for the unforgettable experience of Brazilian Carnaval! Sold out for the past 4 years!
This year we are thrilled to have Malandro Soul from Charleston SC performing the popular Brazilian sounds of Samba, Tropicalia and much more; authentic, energetic and colorful dance performances by Brazilian Fusion and NC Brazilian Arts Project; an Afro-Brazilian martial arts presentation that combines music and dance by Carioca Capoeira Charleston; and crowd favorites Caique Vidal & Batuque with their Bahia sound.
You won’t want to miss the energy of Brazil’s famous Carnaval at this one-of-a-kind cultural experience.
