Overview

North of Nashville is a driving and authentic taste of heartland music stripped of glitz and delivered with a truckload of adrenaline. The Country/Americana duo keeps one foot planted in tradition and the other in a wild and lawless territory of American music. Country fan or not, NoN is a band that has the uncanny ability to grab souls, move bodies and slap great big smiles on faces no matter what the age or musical proclivity of their audience is. Armed with a lean swagger found in mid-70's outlaw country, unbridled live energy, pulsing rhythms, honest, catchy songs and a sound seemingly too big to be accomplished by just two musicians, North of Nashville is an experience all its own. Though NoN was originally formed in 2010, the band has seen more growth in the past 8 months than it had ever experienced in the first 3 years of their existence. Playing sold out shows up and down the East Coast, radio airplay, many TV appearances and a fanbase that is growing rapidly every day, NoN plans to release their highly anticipated first full-length studio record in the coming months, coupled with the most aggressive touring schedule of their careers. NoN was named one of "10 Bands to Watch in 2013" back in March of last year by the largest Maine newspaper, The Portland Press Herald. More recently, the band was nominated for "Best Live Act" by the 2014 New England Music Awards.
