The April 2021 performances of “I Dream” have been postponed and will be part of the 2021-22 Opera Carolina Season.  If you are an Opera Carolina Season Ticket holder, please contact Gail Garvin at 704.332.7177, ext 111 (gail@operacarolina.org) for more information.  If you purchased single tickets to the original April 2020 or April 2021 dates, you will receive new tickets for the rescheduled performances.  Thank you.

I Dream, the musical drama inspired by the last days in the remarkable life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., has been rescheduled to 2021-2022 season.

Douglas Tappin gives us a celebration of the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. With a story set over the last 36 hours in the remarkable life of Dr. King, Opera Carolina’s updated version of our 2018 blockbuster is a powerful closing to our 72nd season.

“As our board continues to monitor local, state and federal recommendations in response to the COVID- 19 pandemic, we believe this is the best decision for the safety and well-being of our patrons, performing artists, and staff,” said Board Chair Arlene Ferebee. “Opera Carolina remains committed to our community, and we ask for everyone’s understanding and continued support as we work together to get through this public health emergency.”
