Sounds on the Square is back to highlight the best comedians and musicians in the Charlotte area! Featuring clean comedy from Christian Johnson to open the show and music from Jason Jet, this free outdoor event will have socially distanced seating for the first 50 guests on a first come, first served basis. Face masks will be required per state mandate. Alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase by card only (cash will not be accepted). A live stream of these events will also be shared on our Facebook page!

Jason Jet

Iceland native Jason Jet has a musical style like no other. After migrating to Charlotte NC, he quickly rooted himself in indie-soul music. Blessed with a brilliant tenor voice, astounding production prowess and gripping lyricism, this sensuous singer/songwriter has an almost trancelike effect on anyone who listens.

Jet has already won numerous awards, including a NY Urban music award and a Carolina Music Award. Considered by many industry insiders to be the next to watch, Jason Jet is flying high with his upcoming sophomore release. "The Great Escape". A project centered around Self-Realization.

Be on the lookout for Jet and his band. He has already shared stages with numerous artists including Anthony Hamilton, Dwele, Eric Roberson, Sunshine Anderson, Dj 9th Wonder and more. He is well on his way.

Christian Johnson

Christian Johnson is a clean comedian from Charlotte, NC. Since 2017 when he started his standup comedy career he’s been traveling from city to city and growing his fan base. He has performed in comedy festivals and was named a 2018 residency holder at The Comedy Zone in Charlotte. He was named first place winner in five standup comedy competitions. In his career Christian has had the pleasure and opportunity to feature for JJ Williamson, Damon Williams, Shaun Jones, Nikita B, and host for Ali Siddiq. He has also opened up for AJ Johnson, social media sensations Shuler King, and The Christi Show, as well as the legendary Sinbad. Christian was also named a semi finalist in the Kenan Thompson ultimate comedy experience showcase in February 2020. Christian Johnson is a rising star with contagious good energy, a unique style, and refreshing clean comedy.
