Brazilian-born guitarist and vocalist Duda Lucena and his quartet heat up the JAZZ ROOM for one special night of music devoted to his homeland Brazil.
Premiere Thursdays presents a fresh kaleidoscope of exclusively themed programming for one-night only. As always, The JAZZ ROOM provides a casual and intimate setting with tables and a full bar, reminiscent of the classic jazz rooms of yesteryear.
Duda Lucena grew up playing guitar in Brazil, composing his first song on guitar at age 12. On tour in Mexico, Lucena fell in love and eventually followed his now wife to her hometown of Charleston. He is now considered a pivotal force of Brazilian music on the jazz scene.
