Theatre Charlotte 2020-2021 Season

  • 704-335-1010
  • Season 93!  Wow!  And what a season it will be.  A season of classic musicals, comedies and a touch of drama.  With all we’ve been through, we could use some solid entertainment and that’s what Theatre Charlotte brings you.  Join us for some smiles, belly-laughs, toe-tapping and a little edge-of-your seat drama.

We have made some changes to our season for the safety of our volunteers, artists, audiences, and staff. We open season 93 in mid-October inside the jury room of a murder trial with TWELVE ANGRY MEN. For the holiday season, you can once again enjoy A CHRISTMAS CAROL, now in its 14th season at Theatre Charlotte. After the holidays, unwind with Neil Simon’s wonderful comedy, THE SUNSHINE BOYS.  In the spring we will produce two musicals starting with the all-time family musical favorite, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s THE SOUND OF MUSIC.  Following that musical classic, we have magic to do as we close this extraordinary season with the ever-popular musical, PIPPIN.

We are offering two types of season ticket plans. Our STAR PLANS are for subscribers who want continuity. With a Star Plan, you get one ticket to each of our four productions with the option to add on tickets to A Christmas Carol. You choose the day of the week and you'll get the same great seats on that day for each production. Our FLEX PLANS are the ultimate option in flexibility. You'll receive vouchers that can be used in any combination for any of our five productions. Simply call or email to make reservations. Until further notice, Flex ticket reservations will be issued as general admission seating. This will allow our staff to assign seats to allow for recommended distancing between groups.

Until further notice, we will require all staff, front of house volunteers, and audience members to wear masks when inside the building. We understand that this is not the most comfortable way to enjoy theatre, but we must put each other’s safety first. In order to experience theatre as a community, it is imperative that we respect and protect each other and that means wearing a mask. It is for the health and safety of each and every patron that we have made this decision for everyone.

We will also be taking added steps to clean and sanitize our facility. The theatre, seating, lobby, restrooms, backstage, dressing rooms, greenroom, and offices will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each rehearsal and performance. Hand sanitizing stations will be located in the lobby, restrooms, backstage, and dressing rooms.

Looking forward to seeing you in Season 93!
